The lamentable "Fletch and Sav" has enjoyed an entirely forgettable season on BT Sport as couch regulars Steve McManaman, Micheal Owen, Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves have displayed all the wit and insight of elevator music while Robbie Savage has somehow become a worse presenter than he is a pundit.

It was nice then to see this rare piece of passion on the show yesterday as Micheal Owen derided Charlie Adam's 65 yard wonder strike against Chelsea last week as "just a long kick". Ridiculous of course, but it's heartening to see a sliver of life on the show.
Now, all of you go away and BT - give the air time to James Richardson.
