On this day 28 years ago Diego Maradona gave the world two of the most memorable moments ever seen on a football pitch. After pictures emerged of Diego leaving the stadium before Messi's late winner against Iran yesterday, Julio Grondona called Maradona a mufa (which, as we all know, is Spanish for curse or jinx). Argentinians, being the superstitious bunch they are, took this to heart. #Maradonamufa was even trending across South America.
During an appearance on Argentinian television later in the day, Maradona had the chance to reply in a manner we've all come to expect from him.
