The appointment of Louis Van Gaal as manager of Manchester United brought about many theories as to how the bigger names at Old Trafford would react to such a strong character in the dressing room. Given his recent history of moaning/being confused, many thought Wayne Rooney would clash with Van Gaal and his allergy to bullshit. Those people, it seems, were wrong. Footage has emerged from a Manchester United training session in California where the fiery Dutchman gives Rooney a massive hug after the England man puts a corner into a decent area. Worth noting is the adorable grin on Rooney's face after the embrace, as Wayne is clearly enjoying the warmth that Fergie never gave him.
David De Gea, however, did not receive a hug for his part in the clip.
