Manchester United were edged 1-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday in a game that was tough to define. United dominated possession for the whole game and finished with twice as many shots as Chelsea but the feeling persisted that Jose Mourinho's side were merely keeping United at arms length throughout the game.
Mourinho claimed afterwards that the game went exactly as he planned and that United's most dangerous players were "in Chelsea's pockets".
Over then to Louis Van Gaal to disagree in his after match interview with the BBC who displayed all the spikiness and passive aggressiveness that we've rarely seen from him this season.
Not a man to be messed with.
