While all the media speculation suggests that David De Gea will leave Old Trafford for Real Madrid this summer, their manager isn't as convinced.
While speaking to the press ahead of the final game of the season where Manchester United will take on Hull City at the KC Stadium, Louis Van Gaal was asked if he thinks that Victor Valdes is ready to step up and replace David De Gea as Manchester United's number one goalkeeper.
His response will be music to the ears of Manchester United fans everywhere.
First we have to wait and see if De Gea is leaving, and after that we shall talk about the other things. But, I believe still that David De Gea shall stay. And, I want to play David De Gea against Hull City because I have to play my strongest team.
While he was never going to say it if he thought De Gea would be leaving, the fact that he has come out and said that he thinks De Gea will stay is the biggest indication yet that United can keep hold of their prized goalkeeper.
