This Comical Goal Stood After A Seriously Bizarre Period Of Play

Lorenzo Insigne took advantage of a most bizarre period of play when Napoli took on Atalanta in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday night.

A ball played into Napoli's Higuain, who was clearly offside, struck Atalanta defender, Christiano Del Grosso, on the back as he played the Napoli striker offside. The ball then fortuitously fell for Lorenzo Insigne who slotted the ball past the keeper.

The referee and linesman both deemed the goal legal and allowed it to stand. Atalanta player, Mario Yepes, was subsequently sent off for his protests.

Either way the goal is still hilarious.
