While the RTÉ panel were discussing Wayne Rooney ahead of England's opening group game against Italy, Liam Brady had a serious dig at Paul Scholes.

Writing for Paddy Power, Scholes speculated that Rooney could be past his best and that he could see him retiring in his early 30s.
Regarding Scholes' comments, Brady said:
I think he's trying to make a name for himself. And some of these guys that you never hear speaking, you kind of think they're intelligent until they do start to speak.
Maybe Liam is still a little bit raw about Scholes' criticism of Jack Wilshere.
