We're going to assume that Kyle Lafferty is joking here. His inability to stop himself laughing, his pondering aloud about how many goals Neymar has scored in this campaign, not to mention the sheer ludicrousness of making this mistake, convinces us that this must be so.
The problem is that many people, for whatever reason, seem unwilling to give young Lafferty the benefit of the doubt in these matters. We fully expect people to gleefully conclude that he is geographically ignorant.
The striker wants to test himself against Brazil and Argentina in next year's European championships.
