Ireland's under 19 squad defeated Sweden 1-0 yesterday in their European Championship qualifier with the winning goal coming from Liam Kelly (pictured above). The midfielder hit an outrageous lob from the halfway line that left the Swedish goalkeeper stranded. We're not ones for hyperbole here at Balls.ie, but this has to be up there with the greatest goals ever scored by a man in green.
Kelly hails from Meath and he plays his football for Reading. His twitter account (@L_Kelly95) was buzzing with news of the goal.
