With players whizzing between clubs constantly it can be hard to keep track.
Keith Fahey was called ashore with half an hour left in St. Pat's 2-1 win over Shamrock Rovers on Friday.
Afterwards, RTE's Stephen Alkin asked Pat's manager Liam Buckley why he had taken Fahey off. Had he picked up an injury?
A reasonable, probing question you might think, were it not for the fact that Fahey left Pat's to join Rovers during the summer and thus was playing for the opposition.
Buckley paused before gently informing Alkin that it was in fact Shamrock Rovers manager Pat Fenlon who took Keith Fahey off as he was the only one with the power to so do.
