A disturbing video has been leaked today which allegedly shows Diego Maradona hitting ex-fiancée Rocío Oliva as she pleads with him to stop.

According to Argentine journalist Marina Calabró, Maradona has since admitted to being the man in the video, but he denies striking the 24-year-old. He said:
Yes, I threw the phone but I swear to God that I have never raised my hand against a woman.
The episode started and ended like that. I admit to throwing the phone, but nothing else.
Reports indicate that Oliva has previously accused Maradona of domestic abuse. A court ruling had prohibited the Argentina media from reporting on the incident until after this summer's World Cup.
