The Cypriot League season kicked off this weekend and Cillian Sheridan's first league start for his new club went rather well. The Irish international bagged a brace for Omonia Nicosia against Nea Salamis and he also contributed to one of the more comical shows of defending we've seen from professional footballers for quite some time.
First there's the horrendous pass from the Salamis keeper but, after Sheridan squares it, the attempt from the two defenders to stop the fairly tame shot is just wonderful.
You can see Sheridan's first goals for Omonia here at the 0.50 and 3.40 marks.
