Cavanman Cillian Sheridan will be the only Irish player in the Champions League group stages this season after his side APOEL Nicosia progressed by beating Danes Aab 4-0 last night and 5-1 on aggregate.
The former Celtic striker scored the Cypriot team's fourth of the game in the 75th minute after a long ball from his keeper found the big man who took the ball under control and smashed it into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
