Just when Arsene Wenger looked to be losing his long battle to remain Arsenal manager he goes ahead and guides his team into the knockout rounds of the Champions League with a win over Borussia Dortmund. Then a win over West Brom stops the rot in the Premier League and everything is A-OK again.
Except it's not, many fans feel that despite sporadic successes, Wenger has not moved the team forward for quite some time and a win here or there is not going to cover that up. As such it was perhaps not very surprising to see a banner prominently displayed in the away end after the win at the Hawthorns which summed up some (and that must be stressed) fans' feelings regarding the manager.

Wenger was asked about the banner in the aftermath of the victory and as you can will see, was very forthright in his determination not to speak about it.
