Liverpool have taken the lead against Bordeaux in their first Europa League group stage match of the season thanks to a delightful bit of skill from Adam Lallana.
After making a fool out of the defender with a cheeky nutmeg in the box, Lallana then effortlessly rolled the ball into the bottom corner to liven up what had previously been a dull affair. Brendan Rodgers made several changes to his side and gave players like Divock Origi and Jordan Rossiter a chance, but it was Lallana who popped up when his team needed a goal.
Liverpool fans know as well as anyone that Lallana has that in his locker, but they would surely want to see it on a more consistent basis.
Also notable about the goal is how similar it was to a certain goal that Liverpool conceded last weekend.
