While tonight's sports news was focusing on New Zealand's rugby squad, their football team almost pulled off a bit of a shock in the Confederations Cup. They led through Chris Wood's first-half goal, only for a brace of Mexican goals in the second-half to consign the All Whites to a 2-1 defeat.
The game ended in disgrace/great entertainment, with an almighty 19-man brawl erupting in injury time. Remarkably, the VAR reviewed the incident.... and awarded a single yellow card, to Diego Reyes.

It had threatened to kick-off beforehand, as Mexican coach Juan Carlos Osorio had to be restrained during a violent rant at his opposite number:
