In the winter of 1976, in an attempt to squeeze as much out of his players as possible, then Offaly football manager Eugene McGee ordered his players to sell raffle tickets.
The objective was to raise enough money so he could purchase a video camera to record Offaly's challenge, league and early championship games. In terms of analysis, it was likely an innovation not many had thought of at the time.
Obviously, we've come a long way in Irish sport.
Valley Rangers, who playing in the West Waterford East Cork League, sent us some video today. It's drone footage from their final league game of the season.
It features a stunning free kick from Mikkel Holmgaard, a Dane working in Cork who previously played in the third tier of the Danish league.
The game finished 9-1 to Valley Rangers against Mogeely.
