The tumultuous relationship between former Real Madrid general manager Jorge Valdano and Jose Mourinho has been well documented.
The pair had locked horns while working together at the Santiago Bernabeu. Some reports suggest that Mourinho influenced Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to sack Valdano from his post at the club.
Valdano has got retribution against the Portuguese manager in his new book, The Eleven Powers Of The Leader. He seemingly used the book as an opportunity to launch a scathing diatribe against Mourinho that really hits below the belt.

And from Marca via Google translate:
I have never heard, in public or in private, a statement on his football worthy of being remembered.
This is a character tailored to these noisy and empty times. With him I could not understand because it is at odds with my sensitivity. Intelligence and ego are enemies. And when they collide, the ego wins.
Ouch!
