Strike while the iron is hot, it's been a cliched tactic for as long as disputes have taken place and now it has a new advocate, the Uruguayan Footballers' Union.
Although Luis Suarez may have returned to club football some time ago, he's still banned from representing Uruguay, a ban which extends to the Copa America this summer. However, with the ongoing scandal engulfing FIFA, Uruguay have spotted an opportunity.
A statement from the Uruguayan union outlined why they believe the scandal effectively nullifies Suarez's ban.
If Luis Suarez is in agreement we will ask for the end of the suspension due to [the player] having been suspended by an organ suspected of corruption.
Granted it's extremely opportunistic but you have to hand it to them, it's worth a shot.
