Manchester United look set to complete the signing of Daley Blind from Ajax, in a move worth in the region of £15 million.
The 24-year-old utility player has been keen on a move to Old Trafford and he is wanted by van Gaal because he can play as a left back, wingback or defensive midfielder. Blind, 24, is the son of Danny Blind, van Gaal's assistant manager at the World Cup, and Ajax captain during his successful spell in charge of the Amsterdam club in the 1990s.
He will not make his debut for the Red Devils in today's afternoon clash with Burnley, but joins Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw and Angel di Maria as the post-Moyes additions to the first-team squad.
Daley Blind made the most passes, interceptions and tackles of any Ajax player last season. #MUFC

It may sound like Manchester United have invested in a Braille newspaper, but in Daley Blind they have a talented, versatile player.
