UCD beat Bohs 1-0 at the UCD Bowl on Monday night.
The winner was a brilliant strike from Yoyo Mahdy which came after just eight minutes.
The victory was UCD's second win in three games, a run which has lifted them from the foot of the table following an 11-game losing streak.
Following the final whistle of last night's game, tempers flared when UCD goalkeeper Conor Kearns - a Shamrock Rovers fan - celebrated in front of Bohs supporters.
It sparked a melee involving players and staff members from both teams.
Bohs captain Derek Pender was the first to confront Kearns before the Bohs keeper James Talbot stepped in to drag his opposite number away.

As he was leaving the pitch, Kearns had bottles thrown at him by supporters.
A fan also attempted to accost him but was halted by stewards at the ground.
