When it comes to the top goalkeepers in Gaelic football at the moment, there is no doubt that Tyrone star Niall Morgan is in the conversation.

The 32-year old was at the forefront of the revolution that has taken grip in the position over the last few years, showing a willingness to come out the field and get involved in general play to help his team. His kick-outs are among the best in the country, while he also is an excellent long range free taker.

Of course, Morgan is a very versatile footballer. While he excels in goal at inter-county level, he plays outfield for club Edendork. That has no doubt helped him when getting involved higher up the pitch with Tyrone.

While his versatility has been well documented, it turns out that this also applies to other sports.

Tyrone GAA star excels after soccer switch

With Niall Morgan having less on his plate after the end of Tyrone's season, he has decided to throw his lot in with the local soccer team.

He has played for NIFL Premiership side Dungannon Swifts in the past, linking up with them again this season. He was in the team for their game against Carrick Rangers last night, and while they would lose 2-1 thanks to a late penalty, Morgan put in a top class performance.

Here are some of his highlights from the fixture, his second appearance of the season.

Niall Morgan is an accomplished soccer player, even if it is not the sport he is most well-known for. He previously represented Northern Ireland at U18 level and could well have gone further in the game were it not for his commitment to GAA.

Dungannon Swifts could certainly do with more performances like this from him in the weeks ahead, with the club currently sitting in tenth position in the 12-team league, having taken just two points from their opening six games.

Morgan has had a number of stints with them in the past, making 33 appearances in the 2011/12 season before he joined the Tyrone panel. He has made a handful of appearances in the years since then, but looks likely to play a big part in their season this time around having been in their squad for all but one of their league fixtures up to this point.
