It's winter, and that means that due to the regular freezing conditions and the outrageous amount of rain that seems to be flooding the country, it can be bloody difficult to arrange a game of 5-A-Side.

We know that many of you love playing a bit of ball so much that the weather doesn't really bother you, and we also know that the same can't be said for the majority of the crew you would usually play with, but we've got a solution, and all you'll need to do is convince one like-minded footy addict to tag along with you. Even better yet, these games are designed to improve your skills while you do them.

Here are three highly enjoyable football games that you'll only need one other player for.

Dink The Keeper

We listed 'You Know The Drill' as one of our 5 reasons why Soccer AM is actually watchable again, as Jimmy Bullard travels around the UK visiting training ground and trying our their best training drills.

This is one of the very best, and as the video explains, here's how it works:

Player one is the keeper, and he stands at the edge of the box in a square (if you don't have cones use jumpers).

Player two pings the ball into the keeper, who then must catch and ground the ball inside the square, and then run back to his goal-line.

Player two then must try to successfully chip the keeper.

Do five goes each and switch places, see who gets the best score.

The Touch Test

The video explains it perfectly, as it's very straight forward. No more than two-touches, both players stand in designated zones and pass the ball to each other, the receiver must take one touch, keep the ball in his zone, and return it without it stopping.

If you don't get the ball into their zone, the other player gets a point.
If you take more than two touchers, the other player gets a point.
If the ball leaves your zone on the first touch, the other player gets a point.

Get creative to ramp up the difficulty, ie. Weak foot only, aerial passes.

Precision Crossbar Challenge

This one can be played solo but it's best to add some competition.

You start at the goal line, and you must pass the ball into the 'D' at the edge of the box. Before the ball stops moving, you must try to hit the crossbar.

Fairly straight-forward, and it will help your weight of passing as well as being a fun crossbar challenge.

Don't let a lack of numbers hold you back. Get out there and have a kickabout.
