The Mirror has reported today that Hull and West Brom have agreed a £6.5 million for Shane Long and that the Irish striker is expected to undergo a medical within the next twenty-four hours.
Newcastle and Stoke were also linked as being interested in the player earlier this week.
However, this tweet from Shane Long's wife sent just last night would suggest that he is going absolutely nowhere.
@Rhiannehill89 Not going anywhere!Told Shane happyhere &with baby on way it not worth the stress when still in contract! He agreed????#happydays

Update 13:05
A statement on the Hull City website denies reports they had agreed a deal with West Brom for Shane Long.
Contrary to reports in the media this morning, the Club confirms that it has not reached any agreement with West Bromwich Albion over the transfer of striker Shane Long, and as such will not be conducting a medical with the player today.
