The clock is ticking for clubs desperate to bolster their squad ahead of the new season, and the rumours as always are circulating.

The Daily Mirror and The Daily Star are running with the story that Liverpool are set to make an offer to free agent Samuel Eto'o. The Cameroonian star spent last season at Chelsea and would compete with Daniel Sturridge and Ricky Lambert for a spot in the Liverpool side.

Manchester City have signed Eliaquim Mangala from FC Porto. The big French centre-back was signed for an undisclosed fee, but due to his complicated third-party ownership, City are reported to have had to shell out around £40m for their man.

Daley Blind has told the media that if Man United were to make an approach for him, then he would welcome the move. Blind's versatility could offer a solution to a number of United's squad issues.

The Sun are reporting that Arsenal want to sign out of favour Liverpool defender Daniel Agger, with £10m said to be the fee. The Sun also claim that Stoke have made a £5m offer for Norwich winger Nathan Redmond.
