The greatest player in the world may be on the move, according to the Guardian. That's right, Nicklas Bendtner could join his former Arsenal bench-warming-partner Marouane Chamakh at Crystal Palace before the end of the transfer window. Palace manager Ian Holloway, following two narrow defeats, seems to be panicking already, as he scrambles to secure sone 'big' names to bolster his squad, including Joey Barton and Peter Odemwingie. If anything it should be good for team morale.

Last night's game between United and Chelsea didn't offer much but it seems to have settled one enduring saga. The Daily Mail seem to think Wayne Rooney has been swayed to stay at United, and one can only assume the support he received a Old Trafford last night may have played a part. Either that or the abysmal performance by Chelsea.

In news regarding La Liga stars ditching sunny Spain for England, Mesut Ozil might be on the way. This rumour appears to be totally based on his supposed strop last night during Madrid's 1-0 win at Granada (below). So not only should the Premier League now be welcoming Ozil, but alos Angel di Maria and Karim Benzema, and all to Arsenal too. Also, The Daily Mail believe Valencia and France defender Adil Rami is on Manuel Pelligrini's wish list, as things haven't worked out with Martin Dimichaelis of Atletico Madrid.

Also in the Guardian, Ireland's very own James McCarthy may finally get away from Wigan and back into the Premier League, although unfortunately with Newcastle. Apparently Joe Kinnear has used his extensive international network of connections to pinpoint the midfielder as his preferred replacement for Yohann Cabaye, who still may or may not be leaving for Arsenal...or PSG.

Finally, Gareth Bale is said to be 'furious and frustrated', as reported by Sky Sports . At least it makes a change from 'angry and confused'.
