Republic of Ireland underage international Troy Parrott was delighted to feature for the Tottenham senior team for the first time as he continues to rise within the Premier League club.
The striker featured from the start during their pre-season clash with Juventus and at just 17-years-old was elated to get the experience under his belt.
Speaking to SpursTV, the Irishman said exposure at that level will stand to him.
I really enjoyed it first of all. It was unbelievable to play at such a high level against such good opposition. At the starts nerves kick in but once you start the game you just want to keep going. You don't want to stop. When you get experience at this level you just want more and more.
He went on to reflect on his possible goal chance which ended in an assist. A well-timed run saw Parrott breakaway and race in on goal. Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon got a hand to it but couldn't keep out Erik Lamela's follow-up.
“Just Buffon to beat, it sounds a bit surreal I just tried to keep it down and it was so close going in, but luckily enough Coco came in on the rebound and scored."

As for further opportunities? "Hopefully this can push us all on and hopefully we can just keep going.”
Parrott will remain with the Spurs senior squad for their pre-season which is why he is unable to participate in the ongoing Under-19 European Championships.
