Diego Costa was once again at the centre of the discussion following Chelsea's 0-0 draw with Watford, and once again it was for the wrong reasons.
Costa reacted theatrically to a challenge, and sparked a shoving match with handbags being thrown all over the place. Tensions ran high, and the game reached an edgy conclusion with Heurelho Gomes somehow managing to keep Chelsea at bay.
The former Spurs keeper was joined by his captain Troy Deeny for the post-match interview, and naturally the interviewer asked about the Diego Costa incident. Deeney's response was an impressive showing of leadership, as after playing down the incident he claimed that he would be having a discussion with his own players about their actions.
It's a new age for football isn't it? A little touch and everyone goes rolling around.
It's just modern day football, I remember playing Sunday league where that wouldn't have happened, you'd have got laughed at.
But that's the age that we live in, everyone pushes, everyone rolls around and tries to get people sent off. I don't really like it personally, and I'll be having a word with Paredes on our side.
That's what we want to see.
A good captain acknowledging his own player's wrong-doing and having a word with him about it, rather than whinging to the ref for a red card (although Deeney did admit he asked why Costa wasn't being booked if it was the second time the ref had spoke to him, which is fair).
Diego Costa will try and wind up defenders, it's the foundation of his game, and as Gabriel of Arsenal showed us better than anyone else if you allow him to put you off your game, it's not going to end well.
