Rumours, whether it’s who allegedly got with the new girl in school or who was spotted shopping for houses in London, we all want to know. Here are the latest rumours circulating in the ether this morning.

Sky Sports have reported that Juventus have turned down an £85m bid for Paul Pogba. The Independent are reporting that an improved £100m bid is imminent. It seems that Ed Woodward didn’t have the stones to tell Mourinho about the rejected bid. According to some CSI style internet sleuths, Mourinho appears to be including Pogba in his pre-season plans anyway.

Speaking of stones, Metro is reporting that John Stones is once again being eyed up by Manchester United after Mourinho voiced concerns about the top-level experience of Eric Bailly.

But according to The Sun, Stones recently met with Everton shareholder Farhad Moshiri to discuss pushing through a £45m deal to Manchester City. Stones was also spotted shopping in Manchester yesterday which is undeniable proof that he is either moving to a Manchester club or looking to purchase some new possessions.

Arsenal’s search for a striker continues and The Guardian are reporting that Arsene Wenger will meet with Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi in the hopes of signing the 23-year-old for around £33m.

In an interview with Sky Sports Claudio Ranieri has insisted that Riyad Mahrez will turn down offers from both Chelsea and Arsenal to stay with league winners Leicester.

According to The Guardian, Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is looking to rescue Juan Mata from a season of potential bench warming for Jose Mourinho. Mata just doesn’t fit the Mourinho mould and one way or another the Spaniard with the magical left peg could well be on the move.

The Shields Gazette have reported that Georginio Wijnaldum is not expected to travel to play Doncaster Rovers as a move to Liverpool edges closer. Multiple reports are emerging that Lucas will be used as a makeweight in the deal as Raphael Benitez looks to reunite with the least Brazilian Brazilian footballer of all time.

Schalke’s Leroy Sane looks increasingly likely to join Pep Guardiola’s Manchester revolution this summer after he made it clear that he wants to leave. In a dramatic twist reminiscent of the glory days of Home & Away, Sane’s father claims that young Leroy could still move to Munich or Madrid while his agent insists that City are the frontrunners. Oh the suspense!

The Daily Mail and Manchester Evening News have reported that Manchester United have made a £25m bid for Monaco’s right-back Fabinho. The 22-year-old would come in as competition for Matteo Darmian who has failed to nail down the position as his own.

In a surprise move, Athletico Madrid are reportedly looking into signing Liverpool’s Divock Origi. The Mirror are reporting that the Belgian will be a secondary target should a move for 48-year-old Diego Costa not materialise.

The Northern Echo are reporting that Neven Subotic’s proposed deal to Middlesbrough is off after the Serb failed a medical.

Finally…
