The wait between Premier League seasons is always agonizing. At least the Euros were on this summer to ease the pain somewhat but with the Premier League is still a few weeks away, football fans must amuse themselves in other ways. Liverpool have agreed a deal worth £25m for Georginio Wijnaldum. According the The Mirror, the deal will be done in time for the Dutchman to join Liverpool's US tour.

The front page of Spanish paper Marca this morning translates from Spanish as 'Varane says NO to Mou'. Mourinho is known to be a fan of Raphael Varane but it seems that the Frenchman is not interested in rekindling whatever relationship they had at Madrid together.
The Guardian are reporting that Romelu Lukaku could be on his way back to Stamford Bridge if a deal for Alvaro Morata does not materialise. Conte is looking to sure up his attacking options with Diego Costa seemingly on the way out.
Keeping with the theme of players returning to former clubs, Sky in Germany are reporting that Mario Gotze is set to rejoin his former club Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth around €22m. Gotze may not be welcomed back with open arms but at least he may actually get some playing time.
Pep Guardiola has confirmed what everyone already knows by revealing that he is chasing Leroy Sane. The former Munich boss stated "I do not know what is going to happen, but right now he is with Schalke." He isn't lying, Sane is at Schalke and it will take an eye-watering £42m to prize the 20-year-old away.
Guardiola is also looking to sign Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos. According to The Guardian, Pep is looking to reunite with the German in a bid to add some much needed guile and craft to the City midfield.
Stoke have made a £20m offer for Saido Berahino according to BBC. It seems as if Berahino has been trying to force a move away from West Brom since the beginning of time and Mark Hughes may be the man to step in and finally make it happen. Crystal Palace and Watford are also reportedly interested.

According to ESPN, Manchester United want to sign Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci. Reports suggest that Mourinho will look to relieve Juventus of his services after the £100m deal for Paul Pogba is over the line. Chelsea and Manchester City are also eyeing up a move for the Italian with City reportedly further along in negotiations.
