Yesterday the world breathed a collective sigh of relief. No, world peace was not achieved, and yes the two U.S Presidential candidates are still Trump and Clinton. But Paul Pogba has finally moved to Manchester United. I'm no United fan, but this drawn out 'will they won't they' honeydicking affair that the world has been following had become nothing short of excruciating.

United have rolled out all the stops with trailers and flashy hashtags, and Stormzy has even got involved and released the news on Twitter. A fitting reveal for a truly ridiculous transfer saga.

Anyway here are today's transfer rumours!

John Stones has reportedly signed for Manchester City for a reported £42m. Rumours are rife as a Champions League squad list appeared on UEFA's website which included Stones as no.24 in City's squad.

In a move which will only add fuel to the fire, the Daily Mail are reporting that Everton have offered £18m for Sunderland defender Lamine Kone.

Arsenal have some competition for Mauro Icardi after Chelsea have joined the race to sign the Argentine. The Guardian are reporting that Antonio Conte is planning a £50m raid to ruin yet another one of Arsene Wenger's potential deals. If this is true then perhaps a deal for Romelu Lukaku is off the table.

Anyway Wenger shouldn't be focusing here because the hole in his defense is the metaphorical hole filling his ship with water. Arsenal need a defender and they need one badly. Shkodran Mustafi has been another of Wenger's long time interests in this window and The Guardian are reporting that both he and West Brom's Jonny Evans are targets. Odd one that.

Sky Sports are reporting that AC Milan, Inter Milan and Roma are interested in signing Samir Nasri. They may want to reconsider after we asked, Is Samir Nasri the most stupid footballer of all time?  The 29-year-old will reportedly cost around £17m. Now that's funny.

Alexandre Lacazette. Perhaps he can be the Frenchman to plug the dramatic transfer hole left by Pogba. The internet is rife with speculation over the £25-year-old's future with some saying that his injury has put off Arsenal. Others say he is about to sign a club record breaking contract with Lyon while a couple still believe Wenger are close to securing a deal to sign him. Ah rumours, never change!

La Gazetta dello Sport are reporting that Chievo are about to step in to rescue Mario Balotelli from Anfield. It's tacit information that Balotelli will play no part in Klopp's plans this season and the Italian is looking for a way out before he starts warming benches.

According to The Guardian, Crystal Palace have rejected an £18m bid from Everton for Yannick Bolasie. Palace are reportedly holding out for a fee closer to £30m.

Brendan Galloway looks set to join Newcastle on a season-long loan. The Mirror reports that the deal will be done within the week.

And finally...

Wolves are set to beat Liverpool to the signing of Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca according to The Sun. The unreported figure is set to smash their club transfer record.
