Turkish side Trabzonspor have confirmed that they have received a bid from a Premier League club for 19-year-old midfielder Abdulkadir Omur, with Liverpool and Manchester City heavily linked with the player.
Club president Ahmet Agaoglu confirmed a bid for the Turkish underage international, who plays as an attacking midfielder, and Omur himself has already spoken about the reported interest in him from Merseyside:
Liverpool is a very important club.
Of course, these offers are something that our club can talk about first. I want to achieve some success here. Without success here I do not have to go to Europe.
My priority is Trabzonspor but I have a dream to play in Europe, I hope I play there one day. My dream is to succeed here and then go to Europe.
This season, Omur has made 16 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig scoring 2 goals and registering 4 assists for his club.
According to a report in the Mirror, Liverpool are willing to pay £27 million in order to secure the services of the player. Should Omur sign, it could put paid to the long standing rumours that Liverpool will revive their interest in Nabil Fekir, with the club abandoning a deal for the French midfielder in the summer.
