Man City took their sweet time in dismissing Hull City last night, eventually wearing them down 3-0 to jump up to second in the table. Yaya Toure, back in from his time in exile, was to the fore, smashing home the first goal from the penalty spot. Toure is once again very important to this City team, his strength and directness gives City an alternative option; he can change the pace of a move unlike any of his teammates.
His influence in yesterday's win was recognised by Sky Sports, as they gave Toure the Man of the Match award post-game.
He accepted the weird new trophy alongside teammate Kelechi Ihenacho, and the interview ended with an oddly awkward exchange between teammates. Ihenacho grabbed the trophy, and then manage to hold a straight face for long enough to force Toure into a slightly awkward exchange. The blokes in Sky's studio bloody loved it. Watch:
