Here we've put together our Fantasy Premier League Draft Midfielder Rankings for the top 50 midfielders in the Premier League to help guide you through your daft night. Some of the highest point scoring Fantasy Premier League players are listed as midfielders so it is vital that this position is considered early on in the draft. Our strategy will be if our top few striker picks are unavailable in the first round, when it is our turn to pick we will instead use our first pick on a midfielder. Here is our rankings of the top 50 midfielders in our thoughts going into the draft.
1. Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal) (UP 1 Place)
With news filtering out that Sanchez will be staying at Arsenal for at least the season ahead, we have moved him into first place in our midfielder rankings. He possesses a greater goal threat than De Bruyne and based on his performances in the last three seasons in the Premier League he cannot be ignored. Sanchez racked up 24 goals and 11 assists last season as Arsenal finished a disappointing fifth. In total he has scored 53 goals and provided 25 assists in 103 Premier League appearances since joining Arsenal 2014.
2. Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) (DOWN 1 Place)
De Bruyne is the safest route into Man City's for Fantasy Premier League managers going into gameweek one, his 6 goals and 21 assists last season also had something to do with us putting the Belgian top of our midfielder's list initially.
3. Dele Alli (Spurs)
Alli has a very good opening run to the season, and provided 18 goals and 11 assists from midfield last term. This form has led us to place him number three in our rankings.
4. Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
Although currently injured. Hazard is worth using an early draft pick on, as when he becomes fit he will be a great asset to any Draft manager. He has scored 53 goals and provided 49 assists across his five seasons and Chelsea, these stats make him a must have when he is playing
5. Christian Eriksen (Spurs)
Eriksen is often overlooked by Fantasy managers preoccupied with Kane and Alli, but with no squad limit of three players per club in the draft game Eriksen deservedly places fifth in our list of midfielders having chipped in with eight goals and 20 assists last season.
6. Sadio Mane (Liverpool) (UP 5 Places)
Mane returned to Liverpool's first team in recent friendly matches following successful knee surgery and instantly comes into our top 10. Mane has had three seasons in the Premier League notching up an impressive 35 goals and 20 assists despite missing spells through injury and international duties at the African Cup of Nations. With no AFCON break for Mane this season, he has to be on every Fantasy manager's watchlist.
7. Paul Pogba (Man Utd) (DOWN 1 Place)
Paul Pogba arrived back at Man Utd with hefty price tag and glowing reputation from his time at Juventus, he had a solid campaign last year and with the signing of Matic from Chelsea, Pogba's may be given more of a licence to attack this season and improve upon his return of 5 goals and 4 assists last season
8. Gylfi Sigurdsson (Swansea) (DOWN 1 Place)
Sigurdsson has been racking up great points total for Swansea City and with rumours of a big money move to Premier League rivals, his stock could increase dramatically if he is a key member in a stronger team. Even if he remains at the Liberty Stadium he is worth an early draft pick as he usually plays high up the pitch and is on set pieces for Swansea.
9. Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) (DOWN 1 Place)
Mesut Ozil is a solid midfield pick and if Sanchez continues to be absent, is the ideal route into Arsenal's midfield, he is most guaranteed minutes in comparison to teammates and provided eight goals and 12 assists last season. With no Champions League football for Arsenal, Ozil may be even fresher for league matches if a second string is used in the group stages of the Europa League.
10. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) (DOWN 1 Place)
Liverpool's new signing Mohamed Salah has arrived back in the Premier League off the back of two stellar seasons in Serie A with Roma, where he contributed 15 goals and 13 assist as Roma finished runners up to Juventus.
The previous season he scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 34 games.
11. Willian (Chelsea) (DOWN 1 Place)
Although on the margins of the squad last season the Brazilian still scored eight goals and assisted a further three goals in Chlesea's title winning campaign. The previous season Willian was the only star in a lacklustre season, where he pitched in with five goals and ten assists.
