Conor Gallagher has been one of the breakout stars of the current Premier League campaign.

While he has been viewed as an interesting prospect for a couple of years now, not many could have predicted just how big of an impact he would have during his loan spell at Crystal Palace. He had a decent campaign at West Brom last season, but he has really come into his own since his move to Selhurst Park.

Now with two England caps to his name, his next goal will be to make a breakthrough at Stamford Bridge. He certainly has the talent to do so.

Many Premier League clubs would love to have a player of his ability in their squad, even the very top sides.

Speaking on talkSPORT, former Republic of Ireland striker Tony Cascarino said Liverpool could do with somebody similar to Gallagher in their current squad, although he doubts Chelsea would consider selling him to a direct rival.

Conor Gallagher is an outstanding attacking midfielder who always looks like he’s going to get a goal or make an assist. I like him because I don’t think there’s too many of his type around.

Liverpool, for me, if they had a player like that as well adding him behind their front three, with his ability to get goals.

Chelsea would never sell him to Liverpool, but they’d do really well with him.

Conor Gallagher will get goals. Whether or not he will get his chance at Chelsea, I don’t know. No one at Chelsea can do what he does. But it depends if Thomas Tuchel wants to play that kind of player in his system.

I hope he does give him a chance.

He might be a good fit, but you'd imagine there is no chance Chelsea would consider selling him to Liverpool as they attempt to close the gap between themselves and the top two in the division next season.
