Even though it would appear the individual in question has already been apprehended, we wholeheartedly wish to see Tommie Hoban's encounter with a burglar recreated for Crimewatch on the BBC.

The Watford and Ireland centre-back - who is yet to see action with his club side this season due to an on-going groin injury - related on Twitter the details of a man breaking into house near where his car was parked.

The man panicked when confronted, fled, tripped and then KO'd himself on Hoban's car.

It had 21-year-old Hoban lamenting the days when criminals were professionals, presumably due to the damage which was caused to his car.
