Tom Rogic was the man of the moment for Australia in their Asian Cup clash with Syria, scoring a sensational long range goal in the 93rd minute to give the Socceroos a 3-2 win over their rivals.

The Aussies took the lead through Awer Mabil on 41 minutes but their lead would only last two minutes with Omar Khribin hitting back before halftime.
Chris Ikonomidis put his side back in front on 54 minutes and then, hilariously, the referee awarded Syria a penalty on 79 minutes after a Syrian player was felled in the box... by his OWN PLAYER.
Omar Al Somah scored the resultant spot kick, and it was looking like the game was headed for a draw, until Rogic popped up with a powerful drive from outside the box to seal the win.
Australia now progress to the round of 16, finishing second in Group B, with Syria now out of the competition after finishing in last place.
