Tom Hanks is the unlikely addition to the Leicester City title dream this morning after everyone's favourite actor (if he's not, you're wrong) decided to throw a bone to the waiting media at a London premiere last night and claim he bet £100 on Leicester to win the Premier League at the start of the season.

If your reaction to this is not 'get up outta that' then you really need to reevaluate your belief system. Having said that, when the quotes are laid out, there's every reason to believe that, despite everything else that may have being going on in his life last summer, he decided to take the time to stick £100 on one of the favourites for relegation to win the Premier League.

Hanks was in London for the premiere of his new film 'A Hologram for the King' and he was asked about his thoughts on the relegation of his beloved Aston Villa and he quickly changed the subject to let everyone know that he predicted the most unlikely title charge in the history of football.

You know what I did at the start of the season? Put 100 quid on Leicester City.

Sounds legit, but when you actually watch him make the claims, we'd suggest that Hanks' local bookie will be fairly safe when Leicester get the one win that they need to tie up the Premier League title.
