With the end of the transfer window now in sight, it seems likely that most of the deals involving Irish players have now already been completed. The likes of Jake O'Brien, Dara O'Shea, and Sammie Szmodics have all moved for significant transfer fees and will be hoping to have a big impact at their new clubs over the coming months.
Of course, there is every chance that some of our internationals could still be part of some late deals before Friday's deadline. Chiedozie Ogbene is one such player, having been linked with a move to Ipswich Town yesterday.
Tom Cannon is another.
The 21-year old may have only moved to Leicester City last summer, but his future at the club is already looking uncertain. It seems as though he is not at the forefront of manager's Steve Cooper's plans after the side's recent promotion.
While a loan move has been mooted in recent weeks, it seems as though he could be out of the club on a more permanent basis.

Report: Championship Trio Eye Cut-Price Transfer Of Ireland Striker
The Irish Independent are reporting that Sheffield United are currently leading the race to sign Tom Cannon in a permanent deal this summer, with Leicester City said to be willing to move him on for a fee of around £6million. That is £1million less than they paid to sign the player in 2023.
The Blades are not the only club credited with an interest in the Ireland striker, with Luton Town and Sunderland also linked with a move for the player.
Cannon was a bit-part player for Leicester City during this promotion campaign last season, making just 16 appearances on the league on the back of some injury issues. Many of those appearances also came as a substitute, with the player logging just 423 minutes on the pitch in total.
The Aintree born player ended speculation about his international future earlier this year, making his Ireland debut against Portugal in June. He had previously been courted by England U21 manager Lee Carsley, although the player opted to stick with Ireland after taking some time to make a final decision.
It will be interesting to see where he ends up playing his football this season.
