The January transfer window has yet to burst into life, with none of the Premier League's big boys doing any business of note. That could change over the coming weeks, with today's transfer rumours consisting of a couple of juicy deals.
Transfer Rumours
Maurizio Sarri wants Cesc Fabregas replacement
Chelsea boss Maurzio Sarri is hoping for midfield reinforcements this month after Cesc Fabregas' departure to Monaco. The move has left the London club short on bodies in the middle third, a situation Sarri wants addressed over the coming weeks.
Today Jorginho was in trouble and on the bench there wasn't a player for that position so I need a player for that position...
The club knows very well my opinion. I need a player there so it depends on the club's decision. I cannot do any more.
Ryan Babel joins Fulham on loan
This one is a blast from the past. Ex-Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has joined Fulham on loan, with parent club Besiktas confirming the deal. Babel arrived at Anfield in 2007 as one of the most highly rated prospects in Europe, but things never really took off for him during his four year stay on Merseyside.
Now 32-years old, he will be hoping to steer Fulham out of the relegation zone.
Michy Batshuayi set to leave Chelsea on loan once again
A player that has never remained at Chelsea for too long, Michy Batshuayi is set to leave the club on loan once again. His time at Valencia was cut short in December, and Goal are reporting that the Belgian is now set to join Theirry Henry's Monaco.
Henry is seeking reinforcements up front as he attempts to lead his side out of the Ligue 1 relegation zone, and Batshuayi would seem like the ideal addition.
Yannick Carrasco likely to return to Europe this month
Belgium winger Carrasco is seeking a move back to Europe, having spent less than a year in the Chinese Super League. His wife has confirmed to Belgian outlet RTBF that there are clubs from multiple countries interested in his services, including England, Spain, and Germany.
Manchester United have been linked to the player, although they would surely have more pressing needs in other areas of the pitch.
Manchester United willing to spend big on Koulibaly in summer
A transfer that has been mooted for a number of months now, Manchester United are apparently stepping up their attempts to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli. The Mirror are reporting that United are hoping to bring the centre back to the club at the end of the season, with a fee likely to reach over £100million.
