This was difficult to imagine in the immediate ecstasy after the full-time whistle at Old Trafford, but Spurs have slumped to two straight defeats in the Premier League. Having lost to Watford a fortnight ago, Spurs were comprehensively outplayed by Liverpool at Wembley in a 2-1 defeat: Eric Lamela added some barely-deserved gloss to the scoreboard in injury time.
Liverpool constantly tore the Tottenham defence apart, but were strangely complacent in their finishing. After the Watford defeat, Pochettino reverted to a back four, with Davinson Sanchez out of the team and Toby Alderweireld partnering Jan Vertonghen at centre-back.
Alderweireld has been reintegrated to the team having been exiled to the fringes as he pushed for a transfer, but any Spurs fans who suspect that he isn't playing for the crest were given some further evidence today...

Is it just me or does Toby Alderweireld jersey not have a #Spurs badge? #LFC #EarlyKO

"The badge on my chest is more important than the name on my back."
Something Toby Alderweireld can't say today.#TOTLIV— Dark Houmar (@Oumar_Aga) September 15, 2018
