Despite the recent death of the Vine, one of its main stars stubbornly persists: Tim Sherwood hasn't gone away you know.
Sherwood is a man mercilessly mocked by his own echo in six-second video clips, and to be fair, this one is spectacular.
Aston Villa sacked Tim Sherwood this morning. That win ratio took a hit. I love the internet #AVFC https://t.co/4Um295BIDA

But Sherwood is a man determined to transcend Vine, and if it is any consolation, he is finding new outlets which end in public humiliation.
Sherwood has recently taken over as Swindon Town's Director of Football, and things have already begun to go terribly awry. Swindon faced Eastleigh Town, a non-league side, in an FA Cup replay tonight.
They managed to lose to their inferior opponents, the final score reading 3-1 to Eastleigh. Now while this kind of incompetence on Swindon's part would seem to bear the hallmarks of a Tim Sherwood managerial job, but it is must be remembered that he is their Director of Football. Nope he is not involved in the management side of things at all.
That was, until, Swindon went 2-0 down, and Tim was not willing to sit idly by in the stands. He is a passionate man: at the height of his gilet-wearing days, he remarked that "I wear my heart on my sleeve...when I wear sleeves".
So given that the only thing necessary for the triumph of lower-league opposition is for Tim Sherwood to do nothing, Tiger Tim descended the stands and assumed managerial reigns in the second-half.
Also, at the time Sherwood waded down to the sideline, England led Spain 2-0 at Wembley. By the time it was all over, they had blown the lead and the game had finished 2-2. There is no objective reason for both events to be linked, but somehow, we feel they are.
Tim Sherwood assumes managerial duties at Swindon mid-game and England relinquish a 2-0 lead. When a butterfly flaps its wings...
