Would You Go To The Same Extremes Of This Ticketless Irish Liverpool Fan?

OK, so we've already seen today that the city of Liverpool is tentatively planning a Premier League winners' parade, but this story is rather more presumptive.  The Irish Mirror have reported that one Trevor Hines has paid €1,200 for a 60-hour  round trip from Melbourne to see Liverpool finish their season at home to Newcastle on May 11.

His only problem, apart from the fact that he thinks it acceptable to spend €1,200 on a 60-hour round trip to watch a Premier League match, is that he doesn't yet have a ticket for the game.

The Drogheda native has been in Australia for the past six years. He said: “I didn’t tell anyone, I just walked straight out of the pub and bought the flights on my phone. I was worried people would try and talk me out of it. They would have said, ‘What are you doing you crazy man?’ But I don’t regret a thing.”

The city needs to have plans in place should the Reds secure their fist title since 1990, but would you fly 10,500 miles without a match ticket for your team's (far from guaranteed) date with destiny? Red or not, do let us know.
