One of the only good aspects of the season ending is the release of special FIFA 19 Team of the Season items. Every year EA Sports release some unbelievable upgraded player items, rewarding the best players from the various leagues around the world.
While we are rarely treated to Irish players being included in such teams, this year is an exception. Three Irish players have been included in the EFL Team of the Season, and they have been given some cracking attributes.
Sheffield United left back Enda Stevens has been included, as has Luton Town striker James Collins. Shrewsbury's Jay O'Shea rounds out the Irish representation.

Stevens has enjoyed a remarkable season, helping Sheffield United return to the Premier League after a 12-year absence. He has been incredible in a left-wing back role, and that is reflected in his team of the season item.
An 85-overall rating is well deserved, and his stats are outrageous. Only his shooting drops below 80, meaning he should be an incredible option in any squad in the game.
James Collins was the main catalyst for Luton Town as they secured promotion to the Championship, and his 86-overall item makes him the highest rated Irish player in the game.
87 pace, 87 shooting, 91 physical. Absolutely jaw-dropping. Collins has banged in 25 goals this season, with this upgrade ensuring he can carry that form into FIFA 19.
Jay O'Shea starred as Bury were promoted to League One, grabbing 15 goals and six assists in an attacking midfield role. The 30-year old Dublin native won six caps for the Ireland U21 side in the past.
EA Sports will continue to announce the various Team of the Seasons over the coming weeks, where we are sure to see plenty more unbelievable player items.
