The rumours linking Roy Keane with the manager's job at Celtic have intensified today with the news that Boylesports have suspended betting on the outcome of Roy Keane taking over at Celtic Park, following what they claim to have been an "avalanche" of bets. The Irish assistant boss has talked consistently about wishing to return to management some day, and the fact his former side will be looking for a manager after the Euros end mean that there is a logic to Keane succeeding Ronny Deila.
While the suspension of betting usually means the outcome is inevitable, this is far different. Firstly, it should be noted that just one company have suspended betting, and The Star's Kieran Cunningham has identified the advantages of them doing so:
Bookies announce that betting suspended on Roy Keane as next Celtic manager because they want some free publicity.

Secondly, the BBC's Chris McLaughlin has poured cold water on the idea that Keane's arrival is imminent:
One bookmaker suspends betting on Roy Keane to #Celtic. Word from inside club is no decision imminent - still at stage of interviewing.

For what it's worth, Keane is second favourite for the job with other bookmakers, behind Brendan Rodgers. Keane is ahead of Neil Lennon, David Moyes and Paul Lambert. Keane taking over is a possibility, but far from certain.
