Around 4 o'clock Irish time today, Sepp Blatter will be reinstated as president of FIFA for a fifth term. There is someone running against him but, in reality, there's nothing that can be done. Not today at least. If UEFA go through on their threat to withdraw from the World Cup perhaps things would change but the immediate future is certain to be Blatter-fied.
Not even the FBI arresting some of his closest and most powerful allies can stop the most hated man in football. He has friends in the right places, or rather he has friends in enough places.
