Thierry Henry delivered one of the best one-liners of the World Cup coverage so far on Sunday.
The Arsenal legend shared punditry duty for the BBC with AC Milan icon Clarence Seedorf and ponytail enthusiast Robbie Savage.
The panel began discussing Honduras’ over-physical game plan in their Group E clash with European giants France. The Welshman reminisced about his playing days, explaining how he and his Leicester team-mates used to use their physicality to stop bigger teams in their tracks.
Savage eloquently revealed how his team “used to be like wasps around them, they used bat us off.”
The Frenchman quickly retorted “we managed,” prompting an eruption of laughter in the studio. Savage was as gracious losing the battle of words with Henry as he was during the several beatings he took when facing the talismanic striker in his playing career.
