Thierry Henry's move into coaching will begin next season.
According to Goal.com, the former Arsenal player will become assistant manager of the club's U18 team after last month receiving his UEFA A coaching badge.
The man under whom Henry will work is also a former Arsenal player. He also played four times for Ireland at U21 level.
Born in Bradford to an Irish mother and Ghanaian father, Kwame Ampadu's family moved to Dublin shortly after his birth. He lived on the North Circular Road and went to the same school as ex-Ireland international Jeff Kenna.
Ampadu told the Irish Independent in 2005:
Dublin's my home, the place where I was raised. I'll always be Irish. I'm actually Patrick Kwame Ampadu, but they call me Kwame after my grandfather. I've been here 17 years now but I've always tried to keep my accent. It's something that's very important to me.
A striker in the early days of his career, Ampadu had a prolific partnership with Andy Cole when they both played for Arsenal at youth level.
I remember in my first year we scored 57 goals between us. He scored 29, I got 28.
Post-Arsenal, Ampadu went onto to play for West Brom, Swansea, Leyton Orient and Exeter.
According to Goal, he impressed with Arsenal's U16 side last season which has led to his promotion to the U18s.
