Odds on Roche Winning Puskas Award Cut Late on
With just hours left until the winner of the Puskas Award is announced, the bookies are taking more money on Stephanie Roche winning the award than James Rodríguez and Robin Van Persie combined. Of all the bets placed through popular website oddschecker.com over half are going on Roche, with Robin Van Persie's World Cup screamer attracting just 8% of punters cash.
Having started off as a 25/1 outsider, the goal is now as short as 7/4 for the award. Perhaps more significantly, in the last few hours several firms have cut their odds on Roche winning the award this afternoon, with the 11/4 available this morning quickly snapped up. James' effort, while still favourite, has drifted to 8/13, having been 1/2 this morning.
