Every day for what seems like the last two years, vague reports have stated that Jose Mourinho is about to be named the next Manchester United manager.
But now, this one is different.
The BBC has beaten everyone to the news, and they are claiming that Jose Mourinho will be the man in charge of Manchester United next season.
BREAKING: Jose Mourinho to be new manager of Manchester United - official.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) May 21, 2016
According to the BBC, the announcement will be made early next week.
This is the strongest link between the Portuguese manager so far to United, and given that United do not have any more games left in the season - it would make sense for the change to happen now.
It's perhaps a little strange that Van Gaal wasn't allowed to bask in the glory of lifting United to the FA Cup final.
It will be interesting to see if Mourinho gets the same results from United's talented youngsters as Van Gaal did.
Happy Man United fans?
